What constitutes a Special Order?
Most of the high end products we sell we do not carry as stock items and therefore have to be imported specifically for you when you place your order.
Many brands in Japan do not carry these items on their shelves and are made to order. They may have a minimum order quantity or MOQ that must be met before they can manufacture a batch.
Special Order items are cleared marked on the item listings and again at the checkout.
Why can't I return a Special Order item?
You have instructed JPN to secure an item in Japan and import it into the UK specifically for you. We have no need to stock the item in the UK.
Much like importing a car, you can't instruct us to buy a car for you and then decide you no longer want it and leave us with the car to pay for!
What about Distance Selling Regulations? Don't they protect me?
No. You automatically get a 14-day "cooling-off period" when you buy something you haven’t seen in person - unless it’s bespoke or made to order.
You won't get a cooling-off period when you buy an item that was personalised or custom-made for you.
If you can't wait for the item to be made for you and shipped to the UK from Japan then the simple rule is don't order it.
We do our best to calculate lead times based on our experience with the brand in question and the type of product. Many items for older 90s cars can take months to arrive..
This isn't us being slow. It is simply down to not enough orders to warrant a production run by the manufacturer!

Customer orders with JPN online store and receives an order number.

JPN system notifies supplier in Japan of the order and prepares the order paperwork.

Japanese supplier place order in queue for manufacture.

Minimum order quantity is met, parts are manufactured.

Parts are shipped to our parts agent in Japan and prepared for shipping to the UK.

Items are repacked with maximum freight efficiency in mind to reduce shipping cost which keeps price competitive.

Goods arrive in the UK and are cleared through customs.

Once cleared and delivered to JPN they'll be checked over before being shipped out to you or you can choose to collect from us.
